Long-term Care
Residents have access to our Long-term, Intermediate and Residential
Care if needed.
Long-term Care
Our long term care skilled units Stations 2 and 3, offer 24 hour
supervised nursing care for residents who require continuing medical
supervision and the services of licensed nurses around the clock. A
multidisciplinary team works with residents and their families to
create the optimal plan of care.
Intermediate Care -- Noble
At Noble, care is provided in a home-like atmosphere for those who
require professional 24-hour supervised nursing care. Our skilled and
experienced staff is astute at understanding our patients' needs and
making often-difficult circumstances less burdensome in a warm,
hospitable environment.
While the focus at Noble is on the provision of care, residents remain
famously independent in the true Avery Heights tradition. Noble
residents participate in a wide variety of regularly scheduled
activities and pursuits, with one of the most popular being gardening
in the Noble Greenhouse.
For outstanding health care with personal service and amenities, Avery
Heights' Noble Residence is the perfect choice.
Residential Care -- Avery House
Avery House provides a beautiful setting with a
unique history. The cornerstone was laid on June 10, 1931 and the
building reflects the
grand architecture of the time. The wood paneled dining room,
libraries, and Great Room are reminiscent of those found in a New
England Inn.
Avery House provides residents with a private
bedroom, an emergency response system, and housekeeping services.
Three meals, prepared by a professional chef, are served in the cozy
dining room. A snack kitchen and many common areas, including two
libraries, are available for residents' use.
Social opportunities are plentiful and warmly encouraged. There are
many trips to local area sites, recreational programs, including
musical concerts, gardening, movie night, and the perennial favorite -
bingo. Nutritional counseling is provided, pastoral counseling is
offered and a resident care coordinator is available to residents
daily.
The Avery Heights Home Health Agency offers services to residents of
Avery House on a fee-for-service basis. Residents also have priority
access to the entire continuum of care at Avery Heights, including,
outpatient rehabilitation, adult day health care, intermediate and
skilled nursing care, as well as to the Brainard wing for short-term
and rehabilitative care. A room or suite at Avery House offers the
reassuring environment of life lived in the company of friends.
